Day 1
Vancouver / Beijing
Board
your transpacific flight from Vancouver to Beijing, the Capital of
China. (Air China )
Day 2
Beijing
Arrive
at Beijing. Your national guide will greet you at arrival hall and
transfer to your hotel
Day 3
Beijing - Forbidden
City, Temple of Heaven, Tian-an-men Square
Today
you will tour the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace where you
will marvel at its magnitude and grandeur. From 14th to early 20th
century, over two dozens emperors from two dynasties lived in this huge
palace. It is a standing evidence to China’s glorious
history. You will also visit Temple of
Heaven where emperors prayed for good harvests and
Tian-an-men Square where modern
history took place. Enjoy a special Peking Duck dinner.
Day 4
Beijing - Great
Wall , Ming Tombs
Your
will walk on the mighty Great Wall today. After a good stretch of your
legs, your tour will continue to the Ming Tombs tucked away in nearby hills.
After dinner, transfer to Beijing Train Station and board the Lhasa
Express to Tibet ( T27 / departing 21:30 )
Day 5
Train

through Shijiangzhuang, Xi’an, Lanzhou, Xining, Golmud, Nagqu
Day 6
Lhasa
Upon
arrival at Lhasa ( 20:58 ), you will be transfer from train station to
your hotel in down town
Lhasa. While enjoying the fresh high-land climate, take a good rest.
Day 7
Lhasa – Potala Palace,
Jokhang Temple , Barkhor Street
Your first day of sightseeing starts
from Potala Palace, Lhasa’s cardinal landmark. This is a
structure of
massive buildings; includes many chapels, halls, and living rooms. It
takes a good 3 hours for the visit. Your tour
continue to Jokhang Temple in afternoon. It is the
spiritual center of Tibet. Pilgrims
from all over Tibet trek a long distance to the temple
everyday. The temple is also an arts of Han, Tibetan and
Nepalese architectural techniques. Shop on the popular Barkhor Street, before you call
off the day.
Day 8
Lhasa – Drepung
Monastery, Sera Monastery
Today you will visit Drepung Monastery,
about 8 km west of central Lhasa. This monastery once named the world largest with about 10,000 monks. You will
enjoy a pleasant walk up the hill along the massive white
monastic buildings piled up on the hillside. Afternoon, we
will visit another Monastery, Sera,
which is located 5 km north of central Lhasa. This
monastery is surrounded by many small
temples and is famed by its ‘Buddhism Scriptures Debating’
Day 9
Lhasa – Namsto Lake
After breakfast, travel approximately 190km north-west of Lhasa
to the second largest saltwater lake in China, the Namsto Lake. It is a tidal lake and
the ring marks of earlier lake levels are clearly visible by the
shoreline.
Day 10
Lhasa - Gandan Monastery
Gandan Monastery is
just 40km north-east of Lhasa. It was the first Gelugpa Monastery in Tibet. With stupendous views of the surrounding Kyi-chu
Valley and fascinating Kora, Ganden is an unforgettable experience.
Day 11
Lhasa
/ Xi’an
Morning free to explore the local Bazzare. Afternoon fly
from Lhasa to Xi’an . Meet with your local tour guide and transfer to
hotel .
Day 12
Xi’an - Terra Cotta
Warriors , Huaqing Hot Springs
Visit the highlight in Xi’an, the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum.
Other historical spots includes : Huaqing Hot Springs and the Bangpo Neolithic Commune
Museum.
Day 13
Xi’an - Ancient City
Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower
Visit the ancient city wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell
tower. Afternoon free for
shopping.
Day 14
Xi’an / Beijing
/ Vancouver
After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Beijing
and connect to Canada. Your tour
completed.
